New freighter service to Hong Kong
KLM/Martinair are happy to announce the launch of new freighter service from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) to Hong Kong (HKG) via Dubai (DWC). After nearly nine years, KLM/Martinair freighters are returning to Hong Kong, enhancing cargo operations and offering you greater flexibility and capacity.
Key details of the new service:
– Inaugural flight: 19 September 2024
– Operated by: Martinair 747-400ERF or BCF
– Capacity: 110 tonnes
– Initial schedule: Three times weekly
– Winter schedule: Four times weekly
– Departure days from Amsterdam: Monday*, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
– Return days from Hong Kong: Tuesday*, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday

Strengthening their presence in Asia
This new service ensures seamless cargo movement across key international hubs and offers a wide range of onward connections to the Americas and Africa via our Amsterdam Schiphol hub. Soon, you can enjoy unparalleled flexibility with shipping options on routes AMS/DWC, AMS/HKG, and DWC/HKG, as well as on return flights from HKG/DWC, HKG/AMS, and DWC/AMS.
These flights will significantly bolster their freighter footprint in Asia and complement their existing routes from Paris CDG to Mumbai (BOM) and Beijing (PEK).
As part of their network strategy, they will be suspending some routes in Latin America. However, they will continue to operate their freighter services to Bogotá (BOG) three times a week via Miami (MIA). Additionally, they remain dedicated to serving the Caribbean and Latin America with 145 weekly flights to 24 destinations through their extensive belly network, ensuring reliable and efficient cargo services.
