The construction of a modern city business park is proceeding according to plan. The investment is entering the next stage of work. The traditional topping-out ceremony was attended by representatives of the investor, the general contractor and future tenants. The company Goldbeck Rhomberg is responsible for the implementation of the project. Construction began in the spring of this year, when the cornerstone was laid. Completion of construction and handover of the finished facilities for use is planned for the fourth quarter of 2024.
“We are very pleased to have reached a very important milestone in the construction process of MLP Business Park Vienna. This is a significant step towards realizing our ambitious development plans, which brings us closer to creating a modern business space. The project on a post-industrial site is developing according to plan. It is our flagship and at the same time our first venture on the Austrian market. We are proud to be able to offer a modern, sustainable space in the vicinity of Vienna. Thanks to its strategic location, the facilities are ideal for city logistics. We would like to express our special thanks to our partner, Goldbeck Rhomberg, for the excellent cooperation so far,” emphasized Peter Falb, Chief Country Officer Austria, MLP Group.
“The construction of the MLP Business Park in Vienna is progressing rapidly. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in the spring, and now, just a few months later, we are celebrating the completion of a key stage of the investment. This is the result of the smooth cooperation of all parties involved in the project,” said Valentin Oswald, branch manager and authorized signatory, Goldbeck Rhomberg.
MLP Business Park Vienna will ultimately consist of four facilities, offering a total of approximately 55,000 square meters of modern architectural space. Tenants will be offered modules with a minimum size of approximately 1,300 square meters. The space offered as part of the new investment will be primarily intended for city logistics, e-commerce and light production, including companies specializing in the sale, assembly and servicing of cars. Numerous ecological and social activities include green roofs, photovoltaic installations and a recreational area with a pond. In accordance with the strategy for implementing the principles of sustainable development, MLP Business Park Vienna will undergo certification at the ÖGNI Gold level.
MLP Business Park Vienna is being built on a 10-hectare plot, just about 13 kilometers from the center of Vienna. The investment is very well connected thanks to the proximity of the S2/A23 motorway. Vienna-Schwechat Airport is about 23 km away. In the immediate vicinity there are bus and train stops operating as part of the city’s public transport.
In line with the “build & hold” strategy, MLP Group maintains logistics parks in its portfolio after they are completed and manages them independently. All projects implemented by the Group are also distinguished by their very attractive location, built-to-suit solutions and tenant support during the lease agreement.
